ΜΙΑ ΝΕΑ ΕΥΡΩΠΑΪΚΗ ΕΜΠΕΙΡΙΑ ΓΙΑ ΤΟ ΣΥΛΛΟΓΟ ΤΟΥ ΑΡΗ ΠΕΤΕΙΝΟΥ
Ο ΜΑΣ ΑΡΗΣ ΠΕΤΕΙΝΟΥ συμμετέχει με αποστολή 12 ατόμων σε ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα Sport Events της Ευρώπης. Το Sport4Cancer, το οποίο διοργανώνεται από το πανεπιστήμιο της Μούρθια στην Ισπανία. Η αποστολή αναχωρεί την Τρίτη 18/4/2023.
Στη αποστολή συμμετέχουν μέλη της διοίκησης, προπονητές, αθλητές, εξωτερικοί συνεργάτες και μέλη του Συλλόγου Καρκινοπαθών και Φίλων Ξάνθης.

THE ORGANISATION «MAS ARIS PETEINOY» PARTICIPATES IN THE WIDE SPORT EVENT SPORT4CANCER (SPAIN) CO-FUNDED BY THE EUROPEAN UNION.
The organisation «MAS ARIS PETEINOY» participates in the international event Sport4Cancer organised by the University of Murcia (Spain) and the Union of Sports Federations of the Region of Murcia. The event features more than 120 sports activities. From 20 to 23 April the venues in Cartagena, San Javier, San Pedro and Los Alcázares (Murcia, Spain) will be filled with competitions, exhibitions and free activities for all audiences. Sport4Cancer’ is an Erasmus+ project co-funded by the European Union with the participation of 12 European partner organisations from France, Germany, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Portugal, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Turkey and Lithuania.
The event, which will be held in the towns of Cartagena, San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar and Los Alcázares, is programmed as a recreational event, but also of social and solidarity interest, with activities to raise funds for the Spanish Cancer Association and to give visibility to the activities of the Never Surrender Foundation, which promotes strength training among cancer patients to improve their quality of life, as well as for the Aladina Foundation.
120 SPORTS ACTIVITIES
The programme has been designed with more than 120 nautical, aquatic and beach activities for all ages. There will be exhibitions, federated competitions and free and open activities, so those who attend will be able to participate and attend as spectators in all kinds of activities: climbing wall, laser tag, go-karting, horse riding exhibition, archery competition, etc.
Among the sporting activities for charitable purposes, the Solidarity Race and Solidarity Walk 5K and 10K will raise 20,000 euros for the Spanish Association Against Cancer. In addition, the Never Surrender Foundation will receive donations from strength sports activities (Crossfit Competition, Calisthenics, Weightlifting and National Strength League) and the Aladina Foundation will benefit from the proceeds of other sports activities (Karts, Triathlon and Beach Volleyball).
10,000 PARTICIPANTS + 30,000 SPECTATORS
Ten thousand people are expected to take part in all the activities and 30,000 spectators and visitors are expected to attend between the different venues of the event. Sport4Cancer. Mar Menor Games’ will count on the participation of more than 150 volunteers from different countries to help in the organisation.
Sport4Cancer’ has the support of leading companies in their sector, such as Instituto Universae, El Pozo Alimentación, Opel Marcos Automoción, CAR Región de Murcia, among others.

RESEARCH AND INNOVATION
On the other hand, the ‘Sport4Cancer Mar Menor Games’ will have parallel activities dedicated to research and innovation such as the celebration of the Sport4Cancer International Congress and Workshop on Physical and Healthy Activity, which will be held on 20 and 21 April in the new Auditorium of the Park Almansa in San Javier and will be attended by national and international specialists in the field of health and physical activity, as well as nearly 500 researchers, scientists, patients and cancer survivors.
The Congress, co-funded by the European Union, is also supported by the Seneca Foundation.
